Laura Blight is a photographer and academic from Essex, living and working in Cornwall.

Traces left by human activity are recurring themes throughout Laura's work, exploring the tension between the familiar and unknown in domestic environments. Laura adopts a curious and intuitive approach to image making where presence, or rather absence is evidenced.

In July 2020 Laura featured as the guest artist for Asymptote (an international magazine of literature and art focused on translation). Laura produced a series of photographs responding to non-fiction, drama and poetry texts translated from over 100 languages.

In 2019 Laura was selected by London Creative Network (LCN) to join a tailored professional development programme for London-based artists and photographers. The programme is delivered by SPACE, Cockpit Arts, Fourcorners and Photofusion.
