Bio

Laura Blight (b.1985) is a photographer and visual artist from Essex. She lives and works in London.

Laura's current practice explores the play between the familiar and unfamiliar in domestic environments. Laura adopts a curious and intuitive approach to image making, where presence or rather absence is evidenced, summoning the strange from the everyday.

Laura has worked extensively in the photographic and creative industries. Her work experience includes art buying and stills production for The&Partnership (London), Saatchi & Saatchi (Sydney) and various photography agencies across London.

Laura is currently participating in the 'Collective Strategies' programme organised by pic.london in collaboration with London College of Communication. Alongside the Hemera Collective and other participants, she will produce new work to a theme and help curate a group exhibition in October 2019.
